Developmental Interventions for Biologically At-Risk Infants at HomeUniversity of Delaware There has been a dramatic reduction in mortality rates for premature/low birthweight infants. Surviving infants are at increased developmental risk. Efforts to enhance the development of infants have taken many forms. Experimental studies investigating the effects of home-based early intervention are reviewed in this article. Implications are drawn for early interventionists.
