Premature Infants with Intraventricular Hemorrhage

A Need for Early Intervention

As a consequence of advances in medical technology, increasing numbers of premature infants with intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) are surviving. Successful intervention with these high-risk infants requires an understanding of IVH, along with implementing model services. The necessity for a service delivery model for multidisciplinary assessment and training is emphasized.
